Candice Pellicori, LCSW
Psychotherapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work and a concentration in Child and Family Studies from Jane Addams College of Social Work-University of Illinois at Chicago. I have worked in a variety of settings, including Thresholds, the Illinois Department of Corrections, and Eating Recovery Center/Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center in their intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
I provide individual, family, and couples therapy, focusing on concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, women’s issues, parenting, racial identity, incarceration, and family dynamics. I work with adults ages 18 and older.
I believe that you already have what it takes to become the best version of yourself. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, work through past traumatic experiences, and develop the skills needed to effectively navigate future challenges so you can create a life you are proud of. I prioritize building rapport quickly by modeling authenticity and creating space for you to show up as your true self. I offer a compassionate, comfortable, and safe environment where you can feel confident making meaningful progress.
My therapeutic style is grounded in cultural humility. I consider all facets of who you are and remain committed to ongoing learning about culture and its impact on the therapeutic process. I use a strengths-based approach to help you identify and build upon your existing strengths as you move forward in treatment. I approach the therapeutic relationship with compassion, curiosity, confidence, flexibility, honesty, and support. Furthermore, I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I will use my skills to help you overcome barriers and step into the fullest version of who you are.
