Our Mission

Our mission at Peace in Counseling is to provide trauma-informed, culturally aware, and evidence-based therapy that helps individuals, couples, and families build lasting inner peace and resilience.

We are committed to creating a collaborative space where you feel truly seen, respected, and supported in your growth. By integrating emotional, psychological, and spiritual care, we focus on the whole person and foster meaningful, lasting change.

Values

  • Authenticity: Showing up with honesty and presence.

  • Collaboration: Walking alongside you, not ahead of you.

  • Empowerment: Helping you strengthen your internal foundation.

  • Cultural Awareness: Respecting the complexity of identity and lived experience.

  • Whole-Person Care: Attending to emotional, relational, psychological, and spiritual well-being together.

Philosophy

Peace does not mean a life without stress or struggle. It means being able to remain anchored in yourself in the midst of them. It is the quiet confidence that you can tolerate discomfort, make thoughtful decisions, and respond rather than react.

We believe you already have the tools within you to grow and succeed. At times, those tools feel inaccessible or overshadowed by overwhelm. Through intentional and collaborative work, we help you uncover and strengthen what is already present: your insight, resilience, and capacity for healing.

Clinical Approach

Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally aware, and evidence-based practices. We recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Each person brings their own lived experiences, identities, values, and beliefs into the therapeutic space, and those deserve to be honored.

We believe healing is most effective when emotional, psychological, and spiritual care are thoughtfully integrated. By creating a safe and respectful environment, we support meaningful exploration while ensuring that you feel seen, understood, and empowered throughout the process.

Collaboration

Healing often requires more than one layer of support. For many individuals, particularly those navigating eating disorders, complex mental health concerns, or medication management, coordinated care can be an essential part of meaningful progress.

We value collaboration with dietitians, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other trusted providers to ensure comprehensive and aligned treatment. When professionals communicate and share clear goals, clients experience a more cohesive and supportive path forward.

This team-based approach allows us to care for the whole person rather than addressing one aspect of well-being in isolation.

“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” - Unknown
